An old, Australian boomerang with the fluted carving typical of the central desert people.

The hardwood has been carved to a slim profile and fluted on one side with the exception of the throwing grip.
The whole has been impregnated with natural red pigment.
This weapon is heavy and lethal with sharp leading edges.
Red ochre pigments are still in evident on both sides.

In good condition with smooth, aged patina.
