Takariya was born in the desert c1960, her family making first contact with people in 1984 at Winparrku (Mt Webb).   Within a few days of making contact, they moved to live at the Kiwirrkurra Community. 

The wavy lines in this work represent the creek site at Marrapinti in Western Australia.  

Takariya is represented at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. This painting comes with original Papunya Tula signed certification.
