Kate Kennedy White is a documentary film maker with an special interest in cross cultural exchange. Kate Kennedy White has been recognized for her excellence in production with numerous international awards and accolades including The Centenary Medal awarded to Australians who have made a significant contribution to Australia, the Prix Jeunesse Prize in Munich for her film on an Australian Aboriginal story for children, the Gold Medal New York Television Festival for her documentary on the impact of the Australian Art from Central Australia on the international art scene and her film on an eccentric conservationist. Her documentary People Power filmed in four continents was broadcast on BBC world to 250 million viewers. Kate has filmed in Kalimantan, Rajasthan, Malawi, Brazil, Spain, UK, Ireland, Papua New Guinea, USA and the remote areas of Australia. It is during these field trips that she collected many of the tribal pieces on this site. |
